Two of the most picturesque locations on the whole island. Angel’s Billabong and Broken Beach Nusa Penida are up there with the most beautiful rock formations we’ve seen. It was fascinating to see and even better to step inside the natural infinity pool that is Angel’s Billabong to cool down.

Where To Find Angel’s Billabong & Broken Beach Nusa Penida
If you head to Kelingking Beach first, then Angel’s Billabong and Broken Beach are around a 45 minute journey by car.
If you’re on a private Nusa Penida tour then Angel’s Billabong & Broken Beach will probably be your second stop after Kelingking Beach. On the first day of our Nusa Penida tour we took a day trip with @balinusapenidatour who covered all the iconic spots with ease.

To park and get into Angel’s Billabong and Broken Beach it was 10,000 Rupiah. After the carpark there are no further fees charged.
Angel’s Billabong is an incredible rock formation on Nusa Penida Island’s Southwestern cliff edges. Amongst the rocks is a very beautiful, naturally formed infinity pool.
Now we’re going to start the blog explaining Angel’s Billabong first because it will be the first spot you see, but we advise skipping past and heading straight to broken beach.
The reason we say this is that Broken Beach is purely a photo spot, so you can grab some shots and head back to chill in the water!
Nusa Penida is becoming more and more popular amongst tourists for it’s spectacular rock formations, although Angel’s Billabong is in a league of its own.
We really enjoyed this spot on our Nusa Penida tour purely because it’s the perfect place to hang out with friends and watch the ocean crashing over the side whilst cooling off from those sweaty walks.
The pools are crystal clear and make for a peaceful soak, but only during low tide! The tide is changing all the time so make sure you do your research before-hand.
Don’t attempt to swim at Angel’s Billabong outside of the right times. The waters from the open Indian Ocean can be pretty rough.
Just a short 5 minute trek around the corner from Angel’s Billabong comes another Instagram famous spot, Broken Beach.
Broken Beach Nusa Penida
Broken Beach is another one of the top picturesque destinations on Nusa Penida Island. Travel photographers will be in heaven at this distinguishable landmark of Nusa Penida.
Follow the signs around from Angel’s Billabong and you’ll find the arched tunnel that allows the crashing ocean to flow in, making a natural pool as well an awesome viewpoint.
It’s not possible to go down to the beach, it’s just a viewpoint for now.
Up at Broken Beach Nusa Penida is where you’ll find food and refreshments if you’re due a pit stop.
So have an awesome day, get some photos and stay safe whilst enjoying some of the natural beauties of Nusa Penida!
