There are many colourful buildings scattered around and boat trips going up and down the Singapore river. There are many eateries you can stop by and it’s just a walk away from The Old Hill Police Station, the stunning building with rainbow windows.

The Art Science Museum has become one of the top tourist things to do in Marina Bay. You can’t help but notice the huge lotus shaped building and it’s very own lotus garden located at the foot of the Museum. It features different styles of art each season and this is where you can walk through the famous dangling lights.

Lau Pa Sat was one of our favourite places to eat, selling every cuisine you can think of. From Costa Rican to delicious Thai and Vietnamese. Pick and choose your cuisine and sit in the canteen style seating area and grab any drink from the seperate beverage section. It turned out to be one our cheapest/yummiest places to eat in Singapore (along with Maxwell Hawker Centre).

Henderson Wave Bridge
You can visit the Henderson Wave Bridge, the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It’s stands 36 metres above the ground and you can perch yourself in it’s secret sheltered seating area to rest after hiking the trail.

Catch A Singapore Sunset
After cruising around the beautiful bay and ticking off all the top spots, you can watch the sun go down behind the cityscape. So if you’re finding things to do in Singapore on a budget, then catching a Singapore sunset is absolutely free!
Stroll The City At Night
After seeing the Singapore sunset, the city by night has a completely different feel to it. When we first saw the skyline lit up at dark we stood completely in awe. From travelling the local side of Asia with tuk tuks and housed on stilts, this really was an eye opener for us. It’s completely stunning.
Don’t Forget The Famous Singapore Light Shows
If you’re around the bay area the to light shows to catch are the Marina Bay Light Show and the Garden Rhapsody at Gardens By The Bay. The light shows were up there at the top our list for the best things to do in Singapore at night.
