Best Things To Do In Yangon
No visit to Myanmar is complete without a visit to the 99 meter high, 2,500 year old gold plated Pagoda. Shwedagon is Yangon’s most famous landmark and one of the most popular pagodas in the country. It’s also one of the best things to do in Yangon. Other pagodas are available – Sule Pagoda and Botataung Pagoda are also very sacred places full of religious interest.

Bogyoke Market – Scott Market
One of the oldest and most popular local markets in Yangon, Bogyoke Aung San Market has recently become a major tourist attraction. Laying right in the heart of the city, visitors flock here to see just how the locals trade. The prices are known to be a little higher nowadays than what they used to be but a trip to Scott Market is definitely worthwhile.
The largest westernised mall in Yangon, if you are in need of a shopping spree or any desperate buys upon arrival then head straight to this place. From designer clothes to all kind of cuisines it’s not really a tourist attraction but worth noting down. Shopping HAS to be up there with the best things to do in Yangon.
Like every major city Yangon comes with an interesting Chinatown area. If you want some noise and different foods then take a trip to Chinatown Yangon! Have your bartering skills at the ready and enjoy a cultural day with some of the most delicious foods in Yangon.
Where To Eat In Yangon
Botataung Jetty – For cheap street food there are rows of markets selling delicious local snacks from noodles and soup to fresh fish and fried snacks.
