If you’re looking for a luxury resort in Goa, look no further. We visited the Chalston Beach Resort in Calangute to see just why it’s rated #1 on TripAdvisor by fellow travellers!
Centrally located in Calangute, Chalston Beach Resort is only a 5 min walk away from anything you need. Although with the beach on your doorstep and an awesome on site restaurant there’s really no need to leave the resort.
Upon arrival we were swiftly checked in by the receptionists and given our breakfast cards, pool towel tokens and wifi passwords for the duration of our stay. The lobby gave an immediate sign of professionalism. The cleanliness and friendly faces got us even more excited for our beach getaway.
Checking in was no hassle and we were soon escorted to our spacious Superior Room. It came with an ensuite, TV, fridge and of course some well needed air con. The room was large enough for a small family. Oh, and it had a cute little balcony attached over looking the palm trees!
As for the facilities at Chalston they were second to none. Past the reception and first on the way to the beach was a well kept swimming pool. The contrast of the blue water against the green palm trees really set the holiday scene and was a perfect place to relax if you didn’t want to get too sandy.
Restaurant & Grounds
Carry on down the way and the symmetrical gardens lead you to a beautiful beach front restaurant. Here you could find a selection of local Goan delicacies or continental foods, with a smiling helpful member of staff at every turn! Oh and not to mention the all inclusive buffet breakfast served here every morning 7.30-10.30am. It was breakfast heaven!
Not only was the restaurant food a hit, but after strolling up and down the sand strips for a few days, we both agreed that the resort definitely looked out onto the cleanest chunk of Calangute beach there was.
With the buddhas sculptures and fish tanks giving Chalston that family friendly final touch it’s no wonder tourists from overseas and India alike flock here every year for vacation. It was a pleasure to spend some quality down time here.
