Heading over to Singapore we couldn’t wait to explore the famous city. So where better to base ourselves for a few nights than at the super easy to find Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay.
Known for its nightlife and riverside restaurants, arriving in Clarke Quay was the perfect spot to start our Singapore adventures.
Upon arrival we were swiftly checked in by the guys at Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay and greeted with smiling faces. The reception area was super efficient with many staff members lined up waiting to attend to guests needs.
Save The Hippos
The first thing we noticed as we walked away from the check in desk were two friendly looking porcelain hippos. We later found out that the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay have a partnership with WWF to raise money and awareness towards animal conservation through their ‘Save The Hippos’ campaign! So don’t be surprised if you see Hippy, Happy and Hoppy, their three funky, fun loving hippopotamus mascots dotted around the hotel.
They are also an award wining green hotel. So each night a traveler stays at Holiday Inn, they are reducing the amount of effect they may have on the environment through their hotel stay.

Back to our stay and our next stop was the bedroom. A simple yet ideal design for the businessman, the traveller or the family. The room was just the right size for a short stay and gave great views out over the city. With everything from in-room heading and A/C to black out shades, sleeping was not a problem in Singapore.
The bathroom was just as practical. Consisting of a jet hot shower and a slide across door, its sleek design was modern yet cosy at the same time.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the rooftop. With a panoramic view of the city and a glass side pool, the top level was a great place to hang out come morning or evening.
Breakfast & Business Centre
Finally we can’t finish without mentioning the efficiency of the breakfast. With many workers and commuters up early for the breakfast buffet the team that handled the food was exceptional. They couldn’t have been quicker or more polite when replenishing items and clearing away plates. The kitchen staff were a credit to IHG!
