What better way to finish our month long trip to Myanmar than by spending a couple of nights at one of the top rated, five star hotels in The Golden Land, Sedona Hotel.
Sedona Hotel, the largest of its kind in Yangon, boasts not only a huge eight acres of land but a combination of 797 modern rooms and suites.
Size was not the only thing that impressed us at Sedona though, the stunning attention to detail and crystallised lighting gave off a warm ambience upon entrance and the huge symmetrical lobby/lounge area was the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Moving through to reception, we were greeted by smiling faces and soon looked after by many attentive staff members.
Up and into our room we went, to check out our super stylish Premier Deluxe Suite. With a working desk, comfortable seating area and a huge, plush cloud of a bed, we were more than set for our two nights of ultimate luxury. The chic design and sleek decor finished the room off beautifully. Not to mention our insane view, overlooking the lake and all of Yangon city. Also, along with the suite came access to the executive lounge on the 25th floor.
The highlight of our suite was the bathroom. Modern touches added a great deal of elegance, especially the deep, spacious bath looking into the bedroom through a huge wall of fine glass. All finished with high quality amenities.
Sedona certainly maximised space with two different wings, Garden Wing and Inya Wing, joined together through fancy, walkways and a selection of boutique shops.
More than a hotel, Sedona’s facilities were endless, from several dining options, a huge modernised gym, the biggest pool in Yangon yet and 24 hour convenience store.
We visited the D’cuisine restaurant and with so many stations of delicious worldly foods to choose from, we ate until our hearts content. With a small bit of room left, there was no choice but to head to the dangerous desert corner with the fruit and rich chocolate fountain and countless cake options. The breakfast buffet was also available in the D’cuisine restaurant, with options of Western, Asian and everything in between.
We really felt catered for with all the added extras such as free laundry service, a selection of pillows to choose from and a complimentary mini bar that was replenished daily.
Overall, our stay at Sedona was truly unforgettable. The wonderful experience gave us the great opportunity to be at complete leisure, rewarding us with some final lasting memories of Myanmar.
