We’d heard such great things about W Hotel Bangkok, which naturally made us super excited for our first stay with the worldwide chain. It certainly didn’t disappoint.
In the heart of the concrete jungle, amongst all the other skyscrapers and hotel chains, we had the pleasure of staying in one of most beautiful Spectacular Rooms at W Hotel Bangkok.
From the moment we walked in, we were in complete and utter awe of the precise details. Not only that, there was a story behind everything. In case you didn’t know the chain runs a theme throughout each of its hotels around the world dependent on which country it lays in. So the Bangkok theme…Thai boxing. From the tiger and phoenix wall art, to the boxing ropes securing the bar and lounge areas, the stylish decor and details really made W Hotel standout amongst the competition in Bangkok.
House on Sathorn
After being swiftly checked in by the smiling faces, we were greeted with welcome drinks by the marketing manager, Bow. She gave us a brief tour of the grounds and facilities. She also took us over to the incredible House on Sathorn, a colonial mansion built in 1889 and a Thai national heritage home. What was once home to the owner is now a bar, courtyard and number of meeting rooms. It’s also listed as one of Asia’s best restaurants in 2017. And rightly so!
We were escorted to our room after the tour and found that the ‘Thai boxing’ theme flowed throughout the hotel. With large boxing gloves on the bed and intricate details around us made our stay that extra special. All because of knowing the creativity and planning that had gone into all the designs.
The huge, plush bed had us completely switched off in no time. The comfort and quality moulded us into the perfects nights sleep and the handy little bedside tablet gave complete control of all lighting and air con.
Fully equipped with all the high end amenities and extras, including mouth and face wash, the bathroom screamed class. With mirrors and glass taking priority and bold lighting bouncing off the surfaces, it really finished the room with a modern touch.
Pool & Bar Area
Our favourite place to chill though was of course by the pool. Situated on the 6th floor, with its quirky bar and uniquely structured splash pad it was not only the centre piece of the hotel but the ultimate place to relax amongst the hustle and bustle going on below. The best thing about the pool was not only the stunning views it gave but the fact that it was open for guest access 24 hours a day. Ideal for late night dips.
As well as plenty of other features such as the Away Spa, Fit Gym and Wired Business Centre we couldn’t leave the review with given The Kitchen Table a mention. Serving up a huge selection of fresh pastries and international cuisines, its buffet breakfast left us definitely satisfied.
Ideal for fun and relaxation, the W Hotel has nailed the mix of class and leisure. The 5 star hotel really stood out to us in BKK. From the carefully chosen theme, to the sophisticated attention to detail, W Hotel was bursting with style and fashion making our stay a definite one to remember.
