The History Of Arkaden
Arkaden was previously a collection of nightclubs and bars, but when it closed, it was left rundown for quite some time. Then the food market stepped in.
As you can imagine, a lot of people felt a strong connection towards Arkaden Odense, thanks to the good times they had at the bars and clubs. The building gave a fair few people almost a sense of community.
So when Arkaden Street Food opened, the founders wanted to ensure that what they were offering was unique and something that couldn’t be found on any street corner in Odense.
They made sure the set up offers a really great vibe, with everyone sitting on the long benches next to each other.
If you visit Arkaden on a busy day, you could well find yourself sitting next to someone you don’t know, and that’s what is so great about it. It gives the food court a real communal spirit.
So people have really enjoyed the fact that it’s back up and running again, as they believe it’s always great to meet new people.
Arkaden Street Food opened its doors to the public in December 2017. It has since done incredibly well in the Danish city of Odense.
