Getting Around Benidorm + Tips

Getting around Benidorm couldn’t be easier. There are generally 4 options:

By Foot:

Honestly, the main beach front of Benidorm is easily walkable.

If you’re staying near Levante Beach, simply make your way to beach, and from there the majority of popular tourist destinations are reachable on by walking along the promenade.

The Old Town is only a 10-15 minute walk from anywhere on Levante Beach.

By Bicycle:

The quickest and easiest way to get around Benidorm is on E-Bikes.

We always choose to rent bikes from Tao Bike, which start at around £30 per day, and explore ourselves.

The E-Bikes are just like normal bicycles to ride, however they take a lot of the effort out of the peddling part.

If you’re looking for somewhere to rent scooters from you can book a trusted bike rental here.

By Hop On Hop Off Bus:

Standard buses are available around Benidorm.

However, there is also of course the famous Benidorm Hop-on, Hop-off Sightseeing Bus.

This bus lets you jump on and off throughout the city, and explore monuments such as two of Benidorm’s best beaches, Poniente and Levante, then wander through the streets of the Old Town.

This option is always popular among tourists, and a is great way to see many famous landmarks around Benidorm at ease.

By Tour:

Some of the best days out we’ve had in Benidorm have been on private tours.

For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

From food tours, to water parks and theme parks, there’s plenty to keep you busy in the Spanish coastal town!

1. Benidorm Island

Benidorm Island is a very small island, sitting approximately 3.5 kilometres from the Spanish mainland. It is also a nature reserve of Spain and one of the best Benidorm viewpoints.

Super close to the holiday town, it’s just a five minute ferry ride from Levante Beach, and there are boats going back and forth to the island every hour.

It takes around 10/15 minutes to reach the top at a slow pace. So Benidorm island is entirely suitable for families and the stunning views of Benidorm from the top are really worth the ride.

2. Benidorm Castle Viewpoint

The Old Town is probably the most popular of the Benidorm viewpoints.

After a short stroll along Levante Beach you will reach the Old Town. If you keep left there is a small incline which leads up to the very beautiful Benidorm Old Town viewpoint.

At sunset it does get a little busy because of the stunning photo opportunities. Although the area itself is surrounded by small cafes where you can order a soda or a cocktail, and watch the sun go down. Everything is white making it a clean, picture perfect destination.

3. La Creu de Benidorm (Benidorm Cross)

Sierra Helada Natural Park is a mountain and marine conservation area spanning across 13,750 acres in total.

It’s best explored by boat or hiking trails, and is also one of the top adventurous things to do in the Benidorm area. Although you don’t have to be too adventurous to get to one of our favourite Benidorm viewpoints.

The beginning of the trail from Benidorm to Albir is located at a huge religious cross. From there it gives off a fantastic view of the whole of Benidorm!

4. Sierra Cortina

The jeep tour was definitely something special. It took us back a few kilometres from the coastline and into the rocky roads and rich green countryside. This is yet another expedition where we saw a different side to Benidorm.

You can ride with or without a driver, along the insane tracks through the mountains and stunning valleys. Bringing you out at some of the best Benidorm viewpoints on the island.

We stopped at one point which our guide told us was called Sierra Cortina and it overlooked everything!

There are many different options available, from half day to full day tours, where you can visit numerous spots with lunch included.

To book a Benidorm Jeep Tour we recommend Marco Polo Expeditions.
