How To Get To Bophut Fisherman Village Koh Samui

Bophut Fisherman Village Koh Samui is on the Northern coast and is just a short 30 minute drive up from the popular tourist area or Chaweng.

We stayed in the Chaweng area of Koh Samui and rented a scooter for 150 Baht per day. This gave us access to the whole island!

Don’t forget to check out Bophut Beach & Maenam Beach whilst in the area!

If you’re looking for transport to and from Koh Samui, you can pre-book all of your Lomprayah transfers here.

For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

What To Expect At Bophut Fisherman Village Koh Samui

The name ‘Bophut Fisherman Village Koh Samui’ comes from the fact that it was once home to a thriving fishing community.

The fisherman have now moved on and the main pier has collapsed. All that’s left are the old wooden shophouses, with numerous narrow alleys running between them, giving the village a charming old look and feel.

We spent a morning there and had lunch in one of many quirky cafes along the beachfront. The vibe is super chilled, and even better, the Fisherman Village backs straight onto Bophut Beach.

The beach has beautiful white sand and crystal blue waters attracting countless tourists every single day.
