We hadn’t heard of the Creative District Bangkok before we arrived and were lucky to find it. So here’s exactly what you can find in the hipster hub of BKK.
Where To Find Creative District Bangkok?
The Creative District can be found around the streets of the Bangrak and Khlong San districts. Connected by a ferry between the Chao Phraya River.
We actually took a tour of the Creative District with Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and we recommend them as a great way to see all the top hidden gems within a short amount of time.
If you’d prefer to explore alone though the best option is to head to Warehouse 30 and start touring the streets!

What Can Be Found In The Creative District Bangkok?
Creative District Bangkok is a huge neighbourhood that celebrates it’s creativity through art, food, culture and many other things. It’s the hub of diversity where east meets west and the old sits with the new. When we visited it was like stepping into another world.
We were super lucky to have this place recommended to us by a friend. So we are writing this blog to try and make more people aware of this beautifully different side of Bangkok.
We’ve written the main things you can EAT, SEE & DO in the area.
In the creative District Bangkok, you can find any kind of cuisine whether it’s barbecued in the street or sitting down in a cool cafe with endless imaginative paintings.
If you want to really live up your time in Bangkok, you can even get a tattoo done at Black Pig Tattoo whilst sipping cocktails at Tropic City – or a cappuccino.
There are many wall murals with unusual and beautiful pieces that all tell a story. After walking around and looking at all the street art, you can enjoy a bite to eat in the quirky cafes just around the corner.
You can stop at River City to catch some really interesting art galleries and beautiful souvenir shops. This place really is built for the creative minds. It’s located right next to Si Phraya Pier – where you can find more markets and restaurants over the other side.
We started walking through the Creative District from Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and our first stop was at Warehouse 30.
Inside they sold all kinds of clothes, bags and jewellery. They also have books, a cinema with an evening viewing everyday and the coolest couple of cafes.
Klong San Market
Klong San Market is located directly as you get off the ferry from Bangrak and Khlong San.
You’ll arrive at Si Phraya Pier to see the other side of the Creative District Bangkok and this is where you enter into Klong San Market.
If you’re looking for super cheap, stylish clothes then this is your place. Local prices and if you hunt around some pretty awesome attire!
The Knack Market
Not only were we lucky to be told about Creative District Bangkok, we happened to visit on the day the The Knack Market was running.
With choices of delicious foods, and warehouse like restaurants, this could possibly be the coolest place we’ve ever visited.
Be sure to check their website to find out what days they are holding the event as they are only once a month but it was like a mini Brick Lane within Bangkok!
Luxury – Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and Towers – For a stunning hotel with guaranteed river view rooms and a touch of class. If you get the chance be sure to check out their Thara Thong restaurant!
Mid-Budget – Golden Tulip Mandison Suites – For a break from the city and some peace and quiet Golden Tulip is ideal. Close to both Terminal 21 Mall and Asok BTS everything is accessible from nearby.
Backpacker – Pillow & Bread – We can’t vouch for Pillow & Bread personally but the reviews on booking.com seem good and the location is great. What more do you need?
