Lago Di Levico is a slice of heaven hidden amongst the mountains. One of the best things to do in Valsugana, here’s all the info for visiting.
Lago Di Levico – A Complete Guide To Visiting
What To Pack? We’ve put together our Ultimate Travel Packing List for every type of trip.
Lago Di Levico, or Lake Levico, is located in the town of Levico Terme.
Just a 20 minute walk from the town centre, or a 15 minute drive from Caldonazzo, the lake itself is accessible from anywhere in Levico.
The best options in terms of public transport are hotel transfers, buses or taxis. However we recommend renting a car for your entire Italy trip. That way you can pick up the car from the airport and explore the region at ease. Another option is of course a private taxi to Lago Di Levico.
The ideal spot for an afternoon of relaxing with a picnic!
Spanning across 2.8 km in length, and 1 km in width, Lago Di Levico is an amazing spot for walking, fishing or just simply relaxing.
The lake lies adjacent to its big brother, Lago Di Caldonazzo, and the two are separated only by a forested hill named Colle di Tenna.
In summer there’s plenty to do at Lago Di Levico including canoeing, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding or renting electric boats. And come winter, Christmas markets are set up in the Habsburg Park, plus there are a few sports that can be practiced on the snow.
Surrounded by small beaches, we headed down with a picnic in hand to cool off in the lake after a morning of paragliding!
Unfortunately we were short on time, so didn’t get to walk around the lake itself. However the most popular trail is Fishermen’s Road, which circles around the whole lake – 8.5 km in total.
With tourists often comparing Lago Di Levico to a Norwegian fiord, it’s a peaceful haven amongst the pines that you won’t want to miss in Valsugana.
