Tegal Wangi Beach Bali is a beautiful secret spot situated on the south-western coast line of Bali. Unlike all other beaches in Bali, this one has it’s own naturally formed jacuzzi’s as well an awesome hidden cave. It makes for the most stunning photo spot, especially at sunset.

It takes around 1 hour and a half to get the Tegal Wangi Beach from Canggu.

Whereas if you’re already staying in Uluwatu, Tegal Wangi Beach will just be around the corner.

Costs For Tegal Wangi Beach Bali

The only cost for Tegal Wangi Beach Bali is the 2,000 IDR fee for parking.

A guy will be scouting the carpark and will ask you for this fee when you leave.

About Tegal Wangi Beach Bali

Tegal Wangi Beach is named after the temple perched on top of the hill. The paved steps make it very safe to go down. It’s super family friendly and only takes a few minutes to get down to the beach.

The ocean is pure and the beach is super clean with powdery golden sand. Be sure to check when the tide is out if you’re only going to experience the natural jaccuzi’s. This will avoid being crashed by the waves plus it will not be safe at high tide.

The best part about Tegal Wangi Beach is the hidden cave as well as the natural jacuzzi’s. It was a beautiful experience to watch the sun go down whilst sitting inside the naturally formed rock pools. We can definitely recall this being one of our favourite sunset spots in Bali.

The cave at Tegal Beach was one of our most featured photos on Instagram.

We’ve been to Tegal Wangi Beach in the day time and at sunset and we must say it’s a much better experience during lowlight in the sunset hour.

If you’re peckish, you can also grab a corn on the cob and a coconut from the top either before or after you’ve visited the beach. We highly recommend the corn!
