Kawasan Falls is definitely one of the top things to do in Moalboal. Although that’s not all there is to do in the area. Here’s what not to miss!
Kawasan Falls is one of the most famous waterfalls in the world, and is definitely one of the best Philippines waterfalls.
If you’re unsure of where to stay in order to visit the famous Kawasan Falls, then Moalboal is your place.
There are a few accommodations in Badian town, which is where the falls are located, however Moalboal is much more touristy and is just a 20 minute tricycle ride away from the falls.
You can visit the falls for the day as a tourist and take photos/swim for just 40 PHP entrance fee.
Although the best option is to book a canyoneering Kawasan Falls tour and enjoy a full day of adrenaline activities!
From rope swings, to cliff jumps, we highly recommend it!

Another of the top things to do in Moalboal is diving!
We went out diving with the guys at Blue Orchid Dive Resort, however there are so many great options in and around Moalboal.
The majority of diving operators have western instructors, who are not only super friendly, but make you feel completely at home in the water!
If you’re looking for a two in one day kind of activity, with both diving and the sardine included, then booking a tour like this one could be a good idea.
Diving in Moalboal has not only put a tick on our bucket list, but it’s also created some incredible memories from our Philippines trip. As you can tell by the photo below of Lauren!

It’s not just the falls and turtles though.
The Moalboal coastline is famous for its sardine run, and you don’t need to be able to dive to experience it!
You can snorkel just off the shore all year round for FREE, and see the millions of sardines swarm around you in something that can only be described as a once in a lifetime opportunity!
It is a completely ethical and natural activity, meaning they are not fed by humans, and because of this tourism in Moalboal is thriving.

Aguinid Falls is a lesser known waterfall but turned out to be one of our favourites in the Philippines.
The first thing you need to know about Aguinid Falls is that there are five levels of waterfalls. So be prepared to get wet.
It is not a waterfall for sightseeing like most in the Philippines, it is one you have to climb, jump and fully emerge yourself into.
If you have spare time to ride down to Aguinid Falls then we highly recommend adding it to your things to do in Moalboal list!
Tumalog Falls is a little out the way of Moalboal but we’ve included it for the explorers.
The first thing we have to stress is to make sure to check with your accommodation how much rain fall they’ve had recently. As when we visited they had just suffered a major drought and the waterfall was a little underwhelming.
Although, Tumalog is still a huge cascading waterfall, with a turquoise pool at the feet of the falls for swimming in. So it has the potential to be a great day trip.
The sheer size of Tumalog Falls is incredible, and the many paths of water make it a beautiful spot to relax in.
