With El Nido, Palawan emerging as the most popular tourist destination in the Philippines, a lot of visitors find themselves asking the same age old question. What are the best tour packages in El Nido? And what are the best things to do in El Nido?
So to save you racking your brains when you arrive, here are the basic options available.
Tour Packages In El Nido
Firstly you need to know that there are four types of tour packages in El Nido. Tours A, B, C & D and here’s exactly what each tour consists of:
El Nido Tour A
7 Commando Beach
El Nido Tour B
El Nido Tour C
El Nido Tour D
El Nido Package Tour
We can only speak from experience but we took tours A & C and were not disappointed!
They told us to get up a little earlier than the usual time the other tours go out because we were mixing two tours into one day. You also get to hit all the spots first so that nobody will be on the islands. Every place we visited was seriously beautiful and it’s by far the highlight of our whole month in the Philippines. We’re sure that all the tour packages in El Nido are simply amazing but we definitely recommend tour A & C.
Costs For The Tour Packages In El Nido
You’ll find booking agents all over town with prices for the tour packages in El Nido varying from around 1400 to 1700 php (Philippine Peso) per person.
Our recommendation is to get a group together (minimum 4 people) and negotiate a deal for your own private boat – we ended up paying 1700 php per person to do both tours A & C in one day plus a huge vegetarian lunch thrown in. This way it beats sharing a boat with another 10 tourists all fighting for the same photos.
Other Things To Do In El Nido
Las Cabanas El Nido For Sunset
Out of all the beaches in El Nido, we’d say Las Cabanas was definitely the best spot for sunset. Every tricycle driver will be offering to take you there and you should definitely take up the offer at least once to experience the evening beach bar vibes. So after a long, hard decision of which of the tour packages in El Nido to choose, head down to Las Cabanas, grab a drink and soak up the realisation of where you are.
Rent Scooters And Visit Nacpan
One of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines, Nacpan is a dream destination and after hearing so many recommendations we took the trip up for a couple of days to hang out on the white sand. If you have the time and you’re all out of things to do in El Nido, then definitely head up to Nacpan!
