Waterbom Bali – The Best Waterpark In Bali
Rated the number 1 waterpark in Asia by TripAdvisor, Waterbom Bali is not your average water park.
With the hashtag #morethanyouexpected at the front of their marketing campaigns, we were so excited to head down south for the day and hit some of the rides and attractions on offer!
More than 50% of the park is still covered by gardens and green space
All food is prepared fresh on-site including all pastries and breads baked fresh daily-even our soft serve ice cream is hand made.
With practices in place to reduce waste production, water and energy use, Waterbom Bali has recently been certified as carbon neutral.
Upon entrance there are lockers and towel rentals available all cleverly paid for by use of an electronic wrist strap. So you can top it up anytime you like and hide all your valuables away for the day.
Our Day At Waterbom Bali + The Best Rides
We headed down to Waterbom Bali for the day with our friends Lola and Jirapan, and of course started off with the big boy slides.
In the far corner of the park there are 7 extreme/moderate level slides.
From family friendly two and four person rides such as Python and Constrictor, to the more intense Twin Racers and Fast N Fierce which are great for a little soft competition.
Then for the real brave souls there’s Smashdown 2.0 and Double Twist!
These are the type of ride where you stand in a capsule and the floor disappears beneath your feet. The boys went round in circles while the girls watched on from the sideline laughing.
After burning ourselves into the ground running up and down the stairs like big kids we headed for lunch.
There are endless places to eat around the park with snack stands everywhere, although we decided to eat at the main Food Court Wantilan.
We picked up mie goreng (vegetable noodles) for 50,000 IDR but there are also pizzas, burgers and all types of western foods on offer.
Next up it was time to burn off some of the food by hitting more slides. We headed around the corner to another couple of two person rides – Superbowl and Boomerang.
Superbowl was Lauren’s favourite ride of the whole park! A short tube ride consisting of disco lights that throws you out into a bowl shaped container eventually sucking you down a hole and dumping you in the pool.
Boomerang was for the more extreme rider. Again a two seater ride that flies you high up onto a quarter pipe after launching you through an enclosed rainbow translucent tube!
There’s Something For Everyone
The park is geared up to everyones needs. With plenty of sun loungers and gazebos available to rent plus chill areas such as the Lazy River and Fantastic – where you can set the kids loose!
Water cannons, slides, wheels, ropes and even a giant dump buckets will keep younger Waterbom Bali goers entertained for hours.
One of the things that makes Waterbom Bali the best waterpark in Bali is that every attraction in the park is well labelled with a Drench, Thrill and Speed rating. So you can check whether or not you’re up for the challenge before you queue.
There’s also a minimum height requirement for little ones on some of the rides which varies from 100cm to 122cm.
There are a few extra popular attractions that come at an additional cost such.
Flow Rider – A combination of surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding on a bouncy wave machine.
Water Blatster – Launch water balloons with catapults at each other aiming to hit the bulls-eye and get your opponent sprayed.
Euro Bungy – A 9 meter high catapult where kids and adults can try a few flips to pump up your adrenaline.
Overall our day was incredible.
We went in excited and came out completely shattered but satisfied! The park is fun for adults, children and adults that want to act like children. We have to add the staff at the beginning and end of all rides were super friendly and couldn’t have been happier to guide us around the park.
